Content Toxic effects of drugs, chemicals and toxins will be discussed on the following organs: Kidney & urinary tract, blood & bone marrow, heart, gastrointestinal tract, skin, respiratory system, skeletal muscle, bones, liver, ears and eyes.
Learning objectives Students should know
1. the typical lesions associated with poisons in the above-mentioned organs
2. which toxicants are important for a specific organ.
They should know the toxicological mechanisms leading to these lesions and possible repair mechanisms.
